Laurie Tjosvold, Office and Accounting Manager
Ms. Tjosvold has been with Chestnut Petroleum since February 2006. She has over 26 years experience in oil and gas accounting, as well as expert knowledge of our accounting software. Her experience in the oil and gas industry enables her to understand the complexities of oil and gas accounting, tax information and preparation, and revenue distributions and statements; all of which in turn, allow us to better serve our clients.

Carolyn S. McGinnis, Compliance Officer
Ms. McGinnis has been with Chestnut since September 2003. Carolyn graduated from Austin College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She currently works for both Chestnut Petroleum and Chestnut Energy Partners, Inc.

Gary N. Polasek, Consulting Geologist
Mr. Polasek is a petroleum geoscientist with 29 years of experience.  Working both conventional and unconventional play types, especially ones utilizing horizontal drilling technology.  Previously, managed one of two divisions within Headington Oil Company, a medium sized independent, headquartered in Dallas.  Managed an integrated team of engineers, geoscientists, landmen, engineering and geological technicians.  A proven oil finder with a high economic success rate.   Also a successful A&D analyst responsible for acquiring several multi-million dollar properties.

Steven E. Plummer, Communication Manager
Mr. Plummer joined Chestnut Petroleum in 2007. He has 25 years database and marketing experience with Dell, Compaq, and Federated Department Stores. Most recently he has spent time overseas in India and China working with outsource companies developing communication materials and scripts. He is a 1979 graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology.

David J. Blair, J.D., President
Mr. Blair joined Chestnut Energy Partners in August 2007.  Prior to joining Chestnut, he was a Vice President for the Southwestern Region for the Financial Counseling arm of Goldman-Sachs.  He brings with him over 15 years of financial experience. Mr. Blair graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Siena College, as well as a Jurist Doctorate from Southern Methodist University.  He currently has Series 24, 7 and 66 securities licenses.

Daniel S. Vejman, Vice President / Director of International Business Development
Mr. Vejman is from Stockholm, Sweden. He graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management Information Systems with a 3.98 GPA. Mr. Vejman was a four time tennis and Academic All American. Mr. Vejman captured the prestigious National Intercollegiate Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship and Leadership Award and OBU's School of Business Award for Excellence in Leadership and Academics. As a senior, Mr. Vejman was the No. 2 NCAA ranked tennis player in the nation. He also brings almost 7 years experience from the oil & gas industry. He currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Chris Jones, Vice President
Mr. Jones is native to the Dallas Metroplex, having 6 years of financial experience and a year and a half in the oil and gas industry. He has been a registered representative since November 2007 with Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

C.H. Boardman, Registered Representative
C.H. Boardman, the son of an Air Force Officer, came to Texas 13 yrs ago. He graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism. While attending MSU, C.H. worked behind the scenes during live newscasts for the local CBS affiliate. In addition, C.H. called the plays for MSU’s sports program “Sports Scene.” A self proclaimed investment junkie, C.H. left the broadcast business to join Chestnut in 2007. Series 22 and 63 securities licenses since 2008.

Jon D. Crandall, Sr. Registered Representative
Mr. Crandall is from Dallas, Texas and graduated with a BS in Small Business Management in 2001 from Purdue University. He was initially a Personal Financial Advisor with Ameriprise and has held a series 7 license and been active in the securities industry for 5 years. He also has 4 years of experience in both personal and corporate finance.

Justin Fawcett, Registered Representative
Mr. Fawcett is from Dallas, Texas and is a graduate of Missouri University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing with additional emphasis in Finance and Information & Technology. He brings with him over 10 years of extensive financial expertise and exceptional business and financial acumen. Mr. Fawcett has also attained his Six Sigma and Microsoft Certifications. He currently holds the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Jacob Kretchmar, Registered Representative
Mr. Kretchmar's strong work ethic comes from his early childhood in a rural farming community. Jacob follows in the shoes of his father and grandfather, who were "self-made men".  Jacob has a Bachelors of Science from Oklahoma State University in Finance. Jacob has been with Chestnut since 2007 and holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Joseph L. McDowall, Registered Representative
Mr. McDowall was born and raised in Moses Lake, Washington and he joined the US Army right out of high school. Upon being honorably discharged from the Army, he went to work in Iraq on Protective Security Detail for the Department of Defense and other governmental agencies.  After being injured by an RPG while on a mission in Fallujah, Iraq Mr. McDowall returned to the US to recuperate and rehabilitate in Dallas, Texas. Mr. McDowall brings sales experience as well as great expertise in team leadership along with an extensive skill set in critical decision making while under pressure.  He currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

David Sims, Registered Representative
Mr. Sims is a graduate of Baylor University where he played football and majored in Financial Service Planning. He spent the first 5 years of his career in the residential mortgage and commercial lending sector. His wife, Nicole, also went to Baylor and is an accomplished marathon runner.  They have been married since September 2006 and have a spoiled pug named Stella.  David's interests include church, golf, football and poker. He currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Valaria J. Turner, Sr. Registered Representative
Ms. Turner is originally from west Texas and her family has been in the oil and gas industry for 3 generations. Valaria is a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of '91, with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. In addition to having over 10 years of sales and management experience she also possesses more than 7 years of expertise in the Oil and Gas industry. She also has extensive knowledge specific to fiberglass piping systems on the production side, as well as the sales and marketing of oil and gas properties on the investment side. She currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Ondrej Vana, Registered Representative
Mr. Vana is from the Czech Republic and came to the United States in 2004 to pursue a degree in Business Marketing and Management.  While attending school at Ouachita Baptist University he was ranked number one on the men's tennis team. During his four years as an OBU Tiger, he made quite an impact on the community through private tennis lessons for all types of individuals while maintaining an impressive school work ethic. He graduated with a grade point average of 3.6 and was a familiar name on the Dean's List year after year. Mr. Vana currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.

Anson Yarbrough, Registered Representative
Mr. Yarbrough graduated from high school as an honor student then attended the University of Texas at Arlington. A degree in Business Management was earned while working part-time to put himself through school. Mr. Yarbrough worked over three years serving the insurance industry. Mr. Yarbrough currently holds both the Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.
